- to investigate the main implications of globalization for human resources management, particularly the extent to which it has eroded national level diversity in HRM practices;
- to assess the principal factors that influence the transfer of HRM practices across national borders within multinational companies;
- to consider the HRM issues relating to the management of staff undertaking international assignments;
- to examine the concept of strategic international HRM.
