Large-scale longitudinal studies: their utility for geographic enquiry

There are several large-scale longitudinal studies in Britain today that, although representing a rich resource for geographic enquiry, geographers have been slow to make use of. This paper introduces and discusses a number of the studies that are ongoing, available and valuable for geographic enquiry.
