Managing coastal risk: making the shared responsibility work

A report to the LGA Special Interest Group on Coastal Issues. This study was commissioned to analyse the interface between shoreline management and the statutory planning system in England and Wales and to investigate ways in which the players can be brought together to make the shared responsibility for coastal risk management work.
