McCall's Multi Blue
Research output: Non-textual form › Exhibition
‘McCalls Multi Blue’ is part of an interdisciplinary collaboration with Visual Artist Eileen White. The work is part of a wider project, Matter of the manor, which uses a timber joist from Wymering House in Paulsgrove, as a starting point to explore the nature of its affective capacities and embodied encounters with its materiality and the space it inhabits. The work responds to the call from feminist philosophers such as Grosz to rethink the body through its materiality and through its surfaces, ‘rotations, convolutions, inflections, and torsions of the body itself,’ to look at alternative modes of engaging with space which are excluded from dominant male practice.
