The return of the DMC: death bed wills

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

For many practitioners, the doctrine of Donatio Mortis Causa (DMC) is one of those
obscure principles which was applied with relish during Equity & Trusts exams, and
has been consigned to the recesses of memory ever since. However, the case of
Vallee v Birchwood ([2013] EWHC 1449 (Ch)) shows that it can still prove extremely
useful.
