Thresholds of the future
Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Chapter (peer-reviewed) › peer-review
Positioned at the interface between interior practice and philosophies of conservation, this chapter concerns the future of historic interiors where space, time, materials and people are intertwined in an unfolding process. New Materialist thinking shifts away from static, layered concepts of historic interiors, to a discourse on vital matter as assemblage. It invites new, poeticized methods of interior representation which reveal human and nonhuman actants performing uncertain, unstable trajectories.
