Young people, alcohol, and designer drinks: authors' reply

Paul Catterson and colleagues raise three queries about our paper. We will respond to each in turn. Firstly, the definition of designer drinks given in our opening paragraph, and quoted by Catterson and colleagues, applies throughout the paper. For the sake of brevity we limited ourselves to individual brands in the tables: adding the category "designer drinks" (table 1) simply confirms our findings and was therefore, we thought, unnecessary.
